(Even More) Stuff About Scream | Episode 32 | Season 3
Monday Jul 31, 2023
Monday Jul 31, 2023
DISCLAIMER: This episode was recorded earlier in the summer so some real-world references may be a little outdated...
SPOILER ALERT: We discuss the Scream franchise...
In this episode, we round out our series on the Scream franchise and discuss the last 2 installments. Aurie thought Scream 6 was just mid because it did not have Neve Campbell, among other reasons that she lays out during the episode, but Dad and Yani think it's one of the best of the series.
Plus, Aurie presents the Flannel Theory, the idea that every Ghostface wears flannel at some point. Somehow, the girls insert commentary about In the Heights, specifically about Melissa Barrera (Sam from Scream 5 & 6) and how they were not fans of her in that movie, but really like her in the Scream movies. Aurie also feels the same way about Sheriff Judy as she does about the whole show Loki (go back and listen to that episode for her scathing opinion). And we have a quick discussion about how Woodsboro Hospital is poorly managed.
Shoutout to the Dead Meat YouTube Channel and their infamous Kill Counts. We're big fans...especially Yani.

(More) Stuff About Scream | Episode 31 | Season 3

Monday Jun 26, 2023
Spoiler Alert: We talk about the Scream franchise, especially Scream 4.
In this episode, we talk about Scream 4. A big part of the discussion is how Scream 4 doesn’t really fit well in the franchise. It sort of just stands on its own. Important to note that Dad watched a bootleg copy of it in 2011 while deployed and was not a fan initially. Neither was Yani. Aurie still isn’t thrilled about it.
Nonetheless, it is part of the franchise and it’s actually not the worst of the franchise, at least according to us. But we believe that Scream 4 is in a weird space where you can watch it and only it before watching Scream 5 and 6, but at the same time you could watch Scream 1-3, skip 4, and go straight to Scream 5. Not confusing at all right?
Also, for some reason, we can’t remember Jill’s boyfriend in Scream 4 and are too lazy to look it up. We also struggle with Rory Culkin’s name and go on an interesting what-if tangent.

(Some) Stuff About Scream | Episode 30 | Season 3
Monday May 01, 2023
Monday May 01, 2023
Spoiler Alert: We talk about the Scream franchise, as well as some parts of The Last of Us, The Walking Dead, and the Halloween franchise.
In this episode, we talk about Scream, mostly the first 3 movies of the franchise but some discussion about the other 3 pop up.
Dad reminisces on the ancient times of the late 1990s when he first watched Scream because he is a Millennial and just can’t help himself talking about the nostalgic factor of the first 3 Scream movies.
Plus, the girls believe that Billy Loomis executed a misguided murder spree against the wrong people. The girls also drop some fun facts about the first 3 Scream movies because they have become super fans, especially Yani.
We also talk about how Cotton Weary got the raw deal of the century…literally. We also discuss the similarities and differences between Scream and other horror movies. And Aurie has a screenplay ready to go for Scream 7 so Paramount Pictures holla at us.

Stuff About Ms. Moon Marvel | Season 3 | Episode 29
Monday Apr 10, 2023
Monday Apr 10, 2023
Spoiler Alert: We go into some details about Ms. Marvel and Moon Knight, as well as some movies/TV shows from the MCU.
In this episode, we do a MCUMoonKnightMsMarvelMashup where we discuss (or rant) about Ms. Marvel and Moon Knight.
She-Hulk was supposed to be part of this discussion, but…well, it was not well received by the girls. So, it didn’t make it…well, it did make it but we end up doing a review on something of which we only watched 1 episode. Yani called the show “wet school mashed potatoes with no salt”. So…yeah.
What we did like was the cultural aspects discussed in Ms. Marvel and the plot of Moon Knight. But there can only be one favorite among us…It just so happens that the girls already knew what they’re favorite was while Dad struggled a little.
Plus, Dad goes on a tangent about the greatness of the Infinity Saga and how the Multiverse Saga is not making sense. And Aurie is not a fan of a certain streaming service’s way of doing business.
Shout out to Voodoo Doughnut. Why? I don’t know…we happened to have made a trip there the morning we recorded this and they are amazing. Voodoo Doughnut…we’re looking for sponsors so…holla at us.

Stuff About Wednesday | Season 3 | Episode 28
Monday Mar 20, 2023
Monday Mar 20, 2023
Spoiler Alert: We go into some details about Season 1 of Wednesday. Dad also talks about the plot of the 1991 film adaptation of the Addams Family because he’s a Millennial and can’t help himself.
In this episode, we take a crazy and kooky trip to review the critically acclaimed Netflix Original Series Hump Day…
Ok, Wednesday, but we think there was a missed opportunity for Netflix to call the show Hump Day. Then again, probably not.
Anyway, we talk about the show in typical Dumb Dialogue with Dad fashion (IYKYK). We also have a quick discussion about couches being called Davenports, I guess? I don’t know…we left it in so there you go. Aurie and Yani disagree with certain character interactions within the show. Plus, Dad calls M3GAN Meegan, for some reason that has to do with Key and Peele. We also do our best to predict what happens in Season 2 of Wednesday but somehow, we manage to have conversations about Harry Potter, The Walking Dead, and the MCU during the episode because maybe…just maybe…the 3 of us are AI with very short attention spans.

Happy New Year! Yeah, we know it’s February, but we still wish yall the happiest of new year. In this episode, we talk about our traveling adventures during the holidays. Yes, we got wrapped up in the travel woes from that one airline that shall remain nameless (but yall know who we mean). Let’s just say our travel experience included multiple flights cancelled, standing in lines, multiple rental cars, driving over around 1200 miles in a 2 day span, and Disney World. Not to mention, this was a trip with Dad’s parents and brother, so we were incentivized to try and make the most of the trip. We also discuss Aurie’s version of the Seven Dwarfs for some reason, both girls talk about their tired eyes that played tricks on them on the late-night drive from Palm Beach to Disney World, and at the 14:38 mark, the girls lament on how it feels like we had been recording longer.
Shout out to United Airlines for getting 4 tired people to the happiest place on Earth in a clutch. Also, shout out to Enterprise Car Rental. We used yall more in the matter of a week than we ever had previously, but yall were there when we needed you.

(Some) Stuff About The Walking Dead | Season 3 | Episode 26
Monday Dec 19, 2022
Monday Dec 19, 2022
Spoiler Alert: We go into some details about The Walking Dead, seasons 1-3 with some season 4 sprinkled in.
Happy Holidays, yall! In our last episode of 2022, Dad and Aurie discuss the critically acclaimed AMC Original Series The Walking Dead. Yani sat this one out because, well…she’s never seen the show. We learn that one character is not well received by Aurie…or dad, for that matter.
We also pretend what it would be like if Beth Greene of the rural Georgia Greenes had a diary during the apocalypse. It’s so hilarious to us that we do more of them at the very end of the episode. Oh, and Aurie could have done without Beth singing so much in season 3.
Dad, for some reason, felt compelled to break down the physics of how a horde of walkers made its way from Atlanta to the Georgian countryside. Aurie disagrees.
And as much as the title says season 1-3, we managed to drop some season 4 in the mix because sometimes we have self-control issues.
We also acknowledge the awesomeness that is Danai Gurira . She’s such a great actress that we see her on screen as Michonne in The Walking Dead, then see her play Okoye in the MCU, and it's like watching 2 different people…the mark of a great actress.
We hope that the holiday season brings you everything you wish for. And while you’re on break, take a listen to more of our episodes at the3dpod.podbean.com.

Stuff About Charmed | Season 3 | Episode 25
Monday Dec 12, 2022
Monday Dec 12, 2022
Spoiler Alert: We go into some details about both the Charmed series from the 90s and the reboot that started in 2018.
Happy holidays, yall! In our penultimate episode of 2022, Dad and Yani discuss the Charmed reboot from the folks at the CW. Aurie did not finish the show, so she sat this one out. Shout out to Sarah Jeffrey who played Maggie (we say Jefferies but that was just a quirky play on her last name), Melonie Diaz who played Melanie, Madeleine Mantock who played Macy, and Lucy Barrett who played Kaela in the reboot series. Yall did an awesome job, and we loved the show.
You know who did not really love the show? The cast of the OG Charmed series. We talk about that, even though it sucks that they felt that way but…it is what it is.
Plus, we talk about how the mom in the reboot had more secrets than the Pretty Little Liars (another pretty good show).
And during post-production Dad had to bleep Yani…it wasn’t for cussing though. Just something they probably don’t say on regular broadcast radio. You can use context clues and your imagination to figure it out.
A big thank you to all our listeners across the world from Texas to the UK to Spain and beyond. We appreciate you all!
One last shout out to the Charming: A Charmed (Reboot) Podcast. Dad is planning to take a listen.
