Stuff About The Disney Wish (the cruise ship, not the movie) | Episode 36
Monday Feb 12, 2024
Monday Feb 12, 2024
We know, it's been a while, but we would've released this episode sooner 😅. However, the audio was bad, so we bought a new mic 🎤 and recorded it again. The good thing is the initial recording was so long that we would have had to split it into 2 parts, but we put this one together in a reasonable amount of time so it will be just 1 episode 🎉.
Now that we got that out of the way, this episode is all about our December vacation on the Disney Wish, Mickey’s newest ship. Shoutout to our travel agent and Mom’s friend Linzi Felan for booking our trip. Check her out on Instagram @linzi_destinationstoexplore and Facebook @Destinations to Explore with Linzi!
In this episode we talk about:
Our first-ever cruise experience 🌊
Aurie's negotiation for early exams on the day we flew to Florida 📚
Attempted to use Holiday Parties at Disney World for shorter lines 🎢
Rain foiled plans at Hollywood Studios; saw Cirque De Soleil at Disney Springs instead 🎪
Managed to enjoy short lines for rides at Magic Kingdom's Holiday Party the next day 🎠
We even managed to get a boarding group for Tron 🏍️, the newest ride at Magic Kingdom 🏰
Aurie was getting motion sickness on the ship 😵
The food was great; Dad and Mom ate pizza with grapes on it🍽️
Dad liked trivia, Mom liked the décor, and the girls liked the teen club, Vibe 🤓
Spiderman called Mom Pretty Young Thing at dinner the first night 😄
The girls wandered around the ship freely 🚢
Watched some movies at the theaters 🎬🍿🎦
Played some bingo and won exactly nothing 😅🎱
We made some crew friends and Yani made friends with other teens at Vibe. Aurie did not. 🤷🏿♀️
Shoutout to all the crew members, including our state room attendant, servers, and store attendants for taking care of us with exceptional service! 🌟

Hey yall! Be on the lookout for a new episode dropping February 12th where we talk about our December 2023 vacation!
In the spirit of that new episode, here's a throwback to our travel shenanigans from December 2022. Let's just say our December 2023 travel was better...
In this episode, we talk about our traveling adventures during the holidays. Yes, we got wrapped up in the travel woes from that one airline that shall remain nameless (but yall know who we mean). Let’s just say our travel experience included multiple flights cancelled, standing in lines, multiple rental cars, driving over around 1200 miles in a 2-day span, and Disney World. Not to mention, this was a trip with Dad’s parents and brother, so we were incentivized to try and make the most of the trip. We also discuss Aurie’s version of the Seven Dwarfs for some reason, both girls talk about their tired eyes that played tricks on them on the late-night drive from Palm Beach to Disney World, and at the 14:38 mark, the girls lament on how it feels like we had been recording longer.
Shout out to United Airlines for getting 4 tired people to the happiest place on Earth in a clutch. Also, shout out to Enterprise Car Rental. We used yall more in a week than we ever had previously, but yall were there when we needed you.
Follow us on Instagram, Facebook, and Threads @dumbdialoguewithdad. Or don’t. We’re not your parents. And since this is a replay of an old episode, disregard the part that says we're on Twitter, or whatever they call it now. We are not there anymore.

Stuff About The Hollywood Strikes | Episode 34 | Season 3
Monday Oct 16, 2023
Monday Oct 16, 2023
Disclaimer: We are not members of SAG-AFTRA or the WGA. We just some regular people that like to talk about stuff so if we get something incorrect, our bad.
Spoiler Alert: The girls talk about Tlou.
In this episode, we talk about the Hollywood Strikes. The WGA strike is over, but the SAG AFTRA strike lingers on, so we rant about it. We provide some facts, and some opinions. We even totally contradict ourselves halfway into the episode because we wanted to be extra cautious. But turns out, its ok to mention the names of struck work, just not cool to review, big up, or otherwise promote struck work. So, most of the episode, we don’t mention names of struck work but later we do…yall, just listen and you’ll see what I mean.
Dad, as he does, goes down memory lane and Aurie, as she does, tries to call him old. But the turntables…uh…turn because Mom, whom we love, was pregnant with Aurie so she can’t really say Dad is old in this case.
Ur internet mom ash (@urinternetmomash) and Kurt Yue (@ActingCareerCenter) helped us get our facts together.
Also, Aurie uses bread to make a surprisingly well thought out analogy about the strike. She was hungry…

Stuff About Moving Reloaded | Bonus Episode
Wednesday Sep 06, 2023
Wednesday Sep 06, 2023
Yall...we have been extremely busy with school starting and other family activities. We'll be back soon with new Stuff but to celebrate a year in our new construction home, here's a deep cut on our episode about moving...
Spoiler Alert: There is some discussion about Stranger Things 4…if you haven’t seen it, watch it before listening to this.
We move…a lot. Like, a lot a lot. In fact, we just moved again in 2022 into what we now can wholeheartedly say is our Forever Home. But there is a story to tell on how we got here, so in this episode, Dad tells a looooong story that goes back to 2012…no, 2007. Fortunately, it is pertinent exposition to the episode so please don’t get mad because he talks for a while. Nonetheless, we move so much that we refer to previous houses as “old house, old old house, old old old house, and old old old old house. There was even a 4-month stint in a great (but small) apartment (and a hotel for a week) between houses in 2018 due to building delays.
Plus, the girls talk about their adventures with food during this last move, but let it be known that they ate EVERY SINGLE DAY.
Shout out to M&M Home Solutions for being the dopest contractors and working with us on projects across 3 houses now and will do more work in this one.
And shoutout Highland Homes who built this beautiful new home. Special thanks to Thea Harrison, Patti Conlin, Ryan Rodriguez, and Tanner Sorenson. We appreciate them for getting us in this beautiful home.

(Even More) Stuff About Scream | Episode 32 | Season 3
Monday Jul 31, 2023
Monday Jul 31, 2023
DISCLAIMER: This episode was recorded earlier in the summer so some real-world references may be a little outdated...
SPOILER ALERT: We discuss the Scream franchise...
In this episode, we round out our series on the Scream franchise and discuss the last 2 installments. Aurie thought Scream 6 was just mid because it did not have Neve Campbell, among other reasons that she lays out during the episode, but Dad and Yani think it's one of the best of the series.
Plus, Aurie presents the Flannel Theory, the idea that every Ghostface wears flannel at some point. Somehow, the girls insert commentary about In the Heights, specifically about Melissa Barrera (Sam from Scream 5 & 6) and how they were not fans of her in that movie, but really like her in the Scream movies. Aurie also feels the same way about Sheriff Judy as she does about the whole show Loki (go back and listen to that episode for her scathing opinion). And we have a quick discussion about how Woodsboro Hospital is poorly managed.
Shoutout to the Dead Meat YouTube Channel and their infamous Kill Counts. We're big fans...especially Yani.

(More) Stuff About Scream | Episode 31 | Season 3
Monday Jun 26, 2023
Monday Jun 26, 2023
Spoiler Alert: We talk about the Scream franchise, especially Scream 4.
In this episode, we talk about Scream 4. A big part of the discussion is how Scream 4 doesn’t really fit well in the franchise. It sort of just stands on its own. Important to note that Dad watched a bootleg copy of it in 2011 while deployed and was not a fan initially. Neither was Yani. Aurie still isn’t thrilled about it.
Nonetheless, it is part of the franchise and it’s actually not the worst of the franchise, at least according to us. But we believe that Scream 4 is in a weird space where you can watch it and only it before watching Scream 5 and 6, but at the same time you could watch Scream 1-3, skip 4, and go straight to Scream 5. Not confusing at all right?
Also, for some reason, we can’t remember Jill’s boyfriend in Scream 4 and are too lazy to look it up. We also struggle with Rory Culkin’s name and go on an interesting what-if tangent.

(Some) Stuff About Scream | Episode 30 | Season 3
Monday May 01, 2023
Monday May 01, 2023
Spoiler Alert: We talk about the Scream franchise, as well as some parts of The Last of Us, The Walking Dead, and the Halloween franchise.
In this episode, we talk about Scream, mostly the first 3 movies of the franchise but some discussion about the other 3 pop up.
Dad reminisces on the ancient times of the late 1990s when he first watched Scream because he is a Millennial and just can’t help himself talking about the nostalgic factor of the first 3 Scream movies.
Plus, the girls believe that Billy Loomis executed a misguided murder spree against the wrong people. The girls also drop some fun facts about the first 3 Scream movies because they have become super fans, especially Yani.
We also talk about how Cotton Weary got the raw deal of the century…literally. We also discuss the similarities and differences between Scream and other horror movies. And Aurie has a screenplay ready to go for Scream 7 so Paramount Pictures holla at us.

Stuff About Ms. Moon Marvel | Season 3 | Episode 29
Monday Apr 10, 2023
Monday Apr 10, 2023
Spoiler Alert: We go into some details about Ms. Marvel and Moon Knight, as well as some movies/TV shows from the MCU.
In this episode, we do a MCUMoonKnightMsMarvelMashup where we discuss (or rant) about Ms. Marvel and Moon Knight.
She-Hulk was supposed to be part of this discussion, but…well, it was not well received by the girls. So, it didn’t make it…well, it did make it but we end up doing a review on something of which we only watched 1 episode. Yani called the show “wet school mashed potatoes with no salt”. So…yeah.
What we did like was the cultural aspects discussed in Ms. Marvel and the plot of Moon Knight. But there can only be one favorite among us…It just so happens that the girls already knew what they’re favorite was while Dad struggled a little.
Plus, Dad goes on a tangent about the greatness of the Infinity Saga and how the Multiverse Saga is not making sense. And Aurie is not a fan of a certain streaming service’s way of doing business.
Shout out to Voodoo Doughnut. Why? I don’t know…we happened to have made a trip there the morning we recorded this and they are amazing. Voodoo Doughnut…we’re looking for sponsors so…holla at us.

Stuff About Wednesday | Season 3 | Episode 28
Monday Mar 20, 2023
Monday Mar 20, 2023
Spoiler Alert: We go into some details about Season 1 of Wednesday. Dad also talks about the plot of the 1991 film adaptation of the Addams Family because he’s a Millennial and can’t help himself.
In this episode, we take a crazy and kooky trip to review the critically acclaimed Netflix Original Series Hump Day…
Ok, Wednesday, but we think there was a missed opportunity for Netflix to call the show Hump Day. Then again, probably not.
Anyway, we talk about the show in typical Dumb Dialogue with Dad fashion (IYKYK). We also have a quick discussion about couches being called Davenports, I guess? I don’t know…we left it in so there you go. Aurie and Yani disagree with certain character interactions within the show. Plus, Dad calls M3GAN Meegan, for some reason that has to do with Key and Peele. We also do our best to predict what happens in Season 2 of Wednesday but somehow, we manage to have conversations about Harry Potter, The Walking Dead, and the MCU during the episode because maybe…just maybe…the 3 of us are AI with very short attention spans.

Happy New Year! Yeah, we know it’s February, but we still wish yall the happiest of new year. In this episode, we talk about our traveling adventures during the holidays. Yes, we got wrapped up in the travel woes from that one airline that shall remain nameless (but yall know who we mean). (Some) Stuff About The Walking Dead | Season 3 | Episode 26
Monday Dec 19, 2022
Monday Dec 19, 2022
Spoiler Alert: We go into some details about The Walking Dead, seasons 1-3 with some season 4 sprinkled in.
Happy Holidays, yall! In our last episode of 2022, Dad and Aurie discuss the critically acclaimed AMC Original Series The Walking Dead. Yani sat this one out because, well…she’s never seen the show. We learn that one character is not well received by Aurie…or dad, for that matter.
We also pretend what it would be like if Beth Greene of the rural Georgia Greenes had a diary during the apocalypse. It’s so hilarious to us that we do more of them at the very end of the episode. Oh, and Aurie could have done without Beth singing so much in season 3.
Dad, for some reason, felt compelled to break down the physics of how a horde of walkers made its way from Atlanta to the Georgian countryside. Aurie disagrees.
And as much as the title says season 1-3, we managed to drop some season 4 in the mix because sometimes we have self-control issues.
We also acknowledge the awesomeness that is Danai Gurira . She’s such a great actress that we see her on screen as Michonne in The Walking Dead, then see her play Okoye in the MCU, and it's like watching 2 different people…the mark of a great actress.
We hope that the holiday season brings you everything you wish for. And while you’re on break, take a listen to more of our episodes at the3dpod.podbean.com.

Stuff About Charmed | Season 3 | Episode 25
Monday Dec 12, 2022
Monday Dec 12, 2022
Spoiler Alert: We go into some details about both the Charmed series from the 90s and the reboot that started in 2018.
Happy holidays, yall! In our penultimate episode of 2022, Dad and Yani discuss the Charmed reboot from the folks at the CW. Aurie did not finish the show, so she sat this one out. Shout out to Sarah Jeffrey who played Maggie (we say Jefferies but that was just a quirky play on her last name), Melonie Diaz who played Melanie, Madeleine Mantock who played Macy, and Lucy Barrett who played Kaela in the reboot series. Yall did an awesome job, and we loved the show.
You know who did not really love the show? The cast of the OG Charmed series. We talk about that, even though it sucks that they felt that way but…it is what it is.
Plus, we talk about how the mom in the reboot had more secrets than the Pretty Little Liars (another pretty good show).
And during post-production Dad had to bleep Yani…it wasn’t for cussing though. Just something they probably don’t say on regular broadcast radio. You can use context clues and your imagination to figure it out.
A big thank you to all our listeners across the world from Texas to the UK to Spain and beyond. We appreciate you all!
One last shout out to the Charming: A Charmed (Reboot) Podcast. Dad is planning to take a listen.

Stuff About Strange Thor | Season 3 | Episode 24
Monday Nov 14, 2022
Monday Nov 14, 2022
Spoiler Alert: There are discussions about several Marvel (MCU and non-MCU) movies and shows in this episode, including Thor: Love and Thunder and Dr. Strange: Multiverse of Madness
Welcome to our Multiverse Mashup! As indicated in the title, this episode is full of our thoughts on not one, but two recent MCU movies…Thor: Love and Thunder and Dr. Strange: Multiverse of Madness. Full disclosure…we are all very tired in this episode. Dad had a headache and the girls got all jacked up on cappuccinos right before we recorded. Even with a headache, Dad manages to give a time travel lesson…we’re just not sure if he’s correct.
Plus, we all somehow manage to throw in our thoughts on Agents of SHIELD being MCU canon because of the Darkhold. We know that’s controversial but…eh, its our podcast.
Overall, we liked both movies, but you’ll have to listen to see which one, at least in our minds, is better.
Lastly, if this episode feels rushed, that’s because it is. We have never mashed up two movie reviews into a single episode and wanted to make sure we got all the things in. Plus, Dad wanted to finish watching Dexter: New Blood and the girls had plans to play Lego Harry Potter. Regardless, good times were had so tune in!

Stuff About Kenobi | Season 3 | Episode 23
Monday Oct 31, 2022
Monday Oct 31, 2022
Spoiler Alert: There are discussions about the Disney+ Obi-Wan Kenobi series, as well as other Star Wars movies and video games.
Happy Halloween! This was supposed to be our first No Dad Allowed episode, but plans changed. Instead, Aurie and Dad decide to talk about the Obi-Wan Kenobi series. Of course, we talk about the typical things but there were some specific shenanigans in this one.
At one point, Dad flips Hayden Christensen’s name and calls him Christian Haydensen. It was a mistake (sorry Hayden).
Aurie pitches her idea for a new Star Wars series to the good folks over at Disney and LucasFilms.
Retroactively in the future in the past becomes a measure of time when talking about Star Wars. We think it makes sense somehow.
Dad calls Anakin/Darth Vader a Crispy Chicken Nugget because of his injuries at the end of Revenge of the Sith and says Anakin has had limbs missing since he was a teenager. He ain’t wrong.
Dad and Aurie craft out the conversations that Obi-Wan is finally able to have with Qui-Gon’s Force Ghost and they’re not what you think.
Dad randomly asks Aurie if a bottle of water was hers because he was thirsty. We could have edited it out but…eh.
There are some audio issues in this one. Our bad…

Monday Oct 03, 2022
Monday Oct 03, 2022
We are back for season 3! It’s been a while, but we're ready to have more conversations about all sorts of stuff but in this episode, we talk about our early summer trip to Hawaii. The thing is…we were not together the whole trip. It’ll make sense when you hear us talking about it. But two things we all can say about our first trip to the Aloha State is that Ube donuts are fire, and the Polynesian Cultural Center is awesome! Plus, you’ll hear that we all now have a love for Island 98.5 and we all find ourselves listening to Hawaiian Reggae.
One note: Our last dinner in Hawaii was at Yard House. We couldn’t remember during the recording, but Dad remembered while editing. Also...quick shout out to Brandon T. Eyring for hitting us up on LinkedIn. We appreciate the follow!

Stuff About Sonic the Hedgehog 2 | Between Seasons Bonus Episode
Monday Jul 11, 2022
Monday Jul 11, 2022
Spoiler Alert!!
This is a bonus episode where we discuss Sonic the Hedgehog 2. This episode was recorded a few months ago so you may hear some slightly aged stuff. We were also very tired while recording but shenanigans did occur. For example, Dad knows surprisingly little about Sonic and the games so the girls give a crash course on the history of Sonic and his crew. Yani liked the pacing of the movie but refuses to use the word "pacing". Aurie refers to Dad as "a fossil". There's also a general discussion on upcoming movies and Yani was kicking the ottoman where the mic sits so...you may notice that throughout. Lastly, a playful confrontation involving an empty water bottle and sofa pillows happens at the very end.
We have some exciting stuff coming next season, which should start in September, including stuff about our summer trip to Hawaii, moving, reviews of Stranger Things, Dr. Strange Multiverse of Madness, and much more!
Oh, we are now on Instagram and Facebook @dumbdialoguewithdad so check us out but set your expectations low because we ain't put much on either yet.

(Some) Stuff About Conspiracy Theories | Season 2 | Episode 19
Monday May 02, 2022
Monday May 02, 2022
In this episode, we discuss some of our favorite conspiracy theories.Aiyanah tells us about the Mandela Effect, Aurieanah talks about "ghosts", and Dad regals us with tales of Simulation Hypothesis. Plus, Aurieanah has watched herself sleep, Dad watched a movie as a youth that never existed, and Aiyanah thinks we're all robots playing in VR...yes, including you. Shoutout to Stuff They Don't Want You to Know and Hysteria 51, especially Brent Hand at the 30:30 mark.
Also, a shoutout to Pennsylvania, who is the state with the 2nd most overall listens of this podcast after Texas.
Another thing...we spoil a couple of movies in this episode so if you haven't seen Wall-E or The Others, just know we pretty much give a synopsis of both.
Last thing...shout out to My Momma Told Me with Langston Kerman. Although we didn't mention it in the episode, its a pretty awesome podcast about conspiracy theories.
We'll be back in season 3 but be on the lookout for a summer bonus episode.

Stuff About The Batman | Season 2 | Episode 18
Monday Apr 18, 2022
Monday Apr 18, 2022
Spoiler Alert!!
In this episode, Dad and Aiyanah do their standalone episode without Aurieanah. Don't worry, she'll be back in the next one. Anyway, this is the episode where we learn that Dad has been watching some form of Batman most of his life and because of this, he thinks he's a philosophical expert on the plight of Gotham City. Also, Aiyanah may or may not have had the beginning stages of a cold and makes sniffle noises throughout. Feel free to make a game out of it, similar to her bird noises in the Hawkeye episode. We also learned that Dad watched the Twilight movies in his downtime on deployment in 2011. Lastly, some strange feedback happens at about the 15:30 mark. Don't worry, it's not too distracting but it may be the kick in the pants Dad needs to buy a new podcast recording kit.
Tune in for this season 2 penultimate episode!
Correction: Aiyanah said The Batman is on HBOMax on April 19th, but its actually available there on April 18th...Enjoy!
Monday Apr 04, 2022
Stuff About Hawkeye | Season 2 | Episode 17
Monday Apr 04, 2022
Monday Apr 04, 2022
Spoiler Alert!!
In this episode, we finally get around to talk about Hawkeye. We were in rare form when we recorded this so here's a few things to be aware of in this episode:
1. Aiyanah makes bird noises throughout the entire episode for no good reason. We suggest that you make a game out of it.
2. Aurieanah still doesn't like Loki.
3. Dad had a very bad headache.
4. A discussion about silverware and cutlery was not edited out.
5. Aurieanah calls Clint's quiver a "backpack thingy" and uses "sciencey" as a verb.
6. Aiyanah at one point sniffs dad and says he smells like man, but it's not a compliment.
7. Dad notices that Aurieanah's fingertips bend, and this does not get edited out at Aiyanah's request.
8. There is an Agents of SHIELD tangent that will almost make you think the episode is about Agents of SHIELD....but it's not. We promise.
This one is for sure full of "dumb stuff". Listen in!
